Irvine Scientific Golf Competition

Irvine Scientific's employees enjoyed a day out in Santa Ana's River View Golf.  As a spectator, photographer this was a whole new sport for me.  The closest I have been to golf is playing miniature golf at Golf N Stuff in Downey, CA or the Tiger Wood's Video game which I still find less dangerous then actually being at a competition.  I was more then happy to be the second shooter of this even along with Heather McLemore of Heatherly Photography.  The day started rather gloomy along with some of the players.  They were in shock with all the attention they were receiving by our cameras.  I learned a whole new game along with the dangers it can have if I don't know their golf talk. 

Jiovanni and Julissa

It is always a great pleasure to catch a part of my dear friend's life with their children.  Julissa has been a friend of mine since Jr. High.  We have shared many stories, ideas and adventure amongst each other.  Her little man Jiovanni is such a great model, he is not just photogenic and loves the camera he has a wonderful sense of humor in which I know he must get that from him mom and his Nina. 

Welcome Cadence Eden

Cadence Eden is a sweet little girl in which entered this world on September 1, 2011.

I had the wonderful pleasure of joining her along with her proud parent's Tatiana and Manny.  What made this session great is that I was the one to first capture her and make some beautiful pictures.  She was also joined by her "Gma" and "Great Gma" as her grandma Rachel (my co-worker) calls herself.  I look forward to capturing more beautiful moments of Cadence Eden as she grows. 

Redondo Beach with Linda and Joseph

Linda and Joseph have grown to be very dear with myself along with my family.  Linda is a long time friend from high school.  Her son Joseph along with my son are weeks apart and have had the pleasure of being a part of one anthers life more recently as they have grown.  Linda is a young lady which I admire very much.  She has done many wonderful things to give her son Joseph a great life.  Joseph is a great young boy with a very great sense of humor.  He made me laugh for our session when he would say the most silliest things.  The one thing I learned about Joseph which I may have never known is that he loves the ocean.  No matter what time or what temperature it is outside he would not hesitate to go in or just get his feet wet.  Joseph even took some photography classes from me and took a few shots of his mom and of myself as well.  I look forward of continuing of being party of Linda and Joseph's life and continuing to capture them as they grow. 

Zumba Zisters

I have had the wonderful pleasure of meeting one of the Zumba Zisters in Jr. High.  She and I, along with many other girls enjoyed many days during school pass time having fun talking about all the things girls talk about.  Nancy Rodriguez along with her sister Lupe, which I have had the pleasure of meeting recently during our photo session have embarked in a new Zisterly journey.  Zumba is one of their passions and they enjoy teaching it to others.  Zumba is a great way for many women as well as men to exercise while learning dance routines and still actually work off many calories.  Zumba has been a new craze in the United States since it was created and introduced by Beto Perez.  These young ladies are certified instructors in the city of Bellflower, California where we all grew up.  They are looking to many more adventures with Zumba and are putting on a Zumba event this coming October 2011.  For any further information on these two young ladies classes please click on the following links.

A Joyous Wonderful Baptismal Celebration for Two Litte Angels

I along with my new photography partner Heather McLemore from Heatherly Photography joined this wonderful family in the celebration their two little angels receiving their baptismal sacrament on August 13, 2011 at Saint Emydius Catholic Church in Lynwood California.  The family was great and the kids were wonderful.  We had such a great time with their friends and family.

These two young ladies have never been on the Metro and we all decided that it would be a fun and educational experience to take the metro from the Lakewood Station up to the Union Station in Los Angeles. This was only our second time around on what Baby Steve calls "choo choo train". Emma had so much fun along with her mom Liz. Liz was scared of the edges. When she would see me get close to the edge to take a photograph of them two she would give me this look. Our destination and place to do the shoot was Olvera Street in Los Angeles. Can't get anymore cultural then that for all of us since we are Mexican American. We had a great lunch. Emma's dress surely went with the "Mexican" colorful theme we were going for. Sadly our shoot had to end early because I did not look like a tourist. I should have just spoke English and not responded in Spanish. Either way our trip and shoot came out well with some great shots.
